Report: | A party atmosphere prevailed. Knole skip JC knowing that he only had to remember to send in the match card to guarantee the 0 points necessary to hold on to first spot.
'Peter' PJ Rutherford (the Andrew Cole of Knole Park squash) provided sage advice from the balcony. PJ was looking dapper in his herringbone tweed jacket, smooth chin and neatly brushed hair.
For Bexley, Gary Bayley started well but needlessly gave away a two game lead under no pressure at all.
Lee Atkins could not believe how easily he won the second game and needlessly gave away the next two under no pressure at all.
Neil Badger survived an elbow to the forehead and ignored the blood streaming from his ear to force a fifth game before he remembered who he was playing against.
Nanu Bhana gave three games away and only got one given back.
Lee Yewlett played some good shots in between needlessly tinning some bad ones. He played left-handed for all three games, although his opponent did not realise until the third.
Thanks to Bexley 3rds for their hospitality. Let's hope their 2nds are as friendly next season. I'd also like to thank my mum, dad, coaches, racket-restringer, enormous squad and particularly Fredericks who, despite losing to Acacia Hall, took the pressure right off us at KP nuts. Very pleased to have avoided injuries ahead of Cup Semis, as we only have five fit and available blokes left.
