Report: | A fine evening of competitive squash took place at Dulwich last night with Cannon's running in a closish second. All matches were keenly fought but Dulwich's numbers 1,2 and 4 were simply too strong for the Cannon's opponents although all contests weere keenly fought.
New boy James looked like going down in his maiden match for Dulwich when he was at 0-2 and 3-6 down in the 3rd game. His youthful energy however came to the fore and he pulled off an excellent comeback to take the match 3-2.
A the other end of the age spectrum the aging Griffin was also 0-2 in a match in which a 'clash of styles' springs to mind. With both players evenly matched and highly motivated the match went to 5 with Griffin lucky to come out on top. If GP's backhand drop volley winners had comeoff (as they had in the 1st two games)the result would have undoubtedly gone the other way. I don't know about my oppo but I can definietly feel that fact that we on court for 90 mins.
Well played Cannons.
