| Report: | The matches kicked off with Shaun v Andy and Ian v Dave. From what I saw of Shaun and Andy the first were close and hard fought but Shaun got away in the third. Ian came out of the blocks slowly losing the first but then upped his game to win the next 2 fairly comfortably, Dave came out with a string of winners in the 4th to go
8-0 up but run out of steam to allow Ian to come back and take the win 10-9 saving 4 game points getting there. Andy &b Duncan went on next. Another hard fought match with Duncan taking the early honours but Andy came back well to take the next 3. Keith v Mark were pretty even in the beginning, until Mark came out with some excellent retrievals and some good winners going 8-5 up but Keith clawed it back to win the first and then the 2nd fairly comfortably Mark put up more of a fight in the 3rd but to no avail. Finally the game of the youngsters although the game scores don't look like each game was even they were both playing hard but loose drives and both scrambling some good retrievals great game to finish the night with. |
