| Report: | Another win for Bromley, but a result that could have easily been different.....
First on court, Ron slowly ground down Alan while Mark continued his excellent recent form vs Gavin - two 3-0 wins to put Bromley in control. The match looked to be sealed early with Paul taking a commanding 2-0 lead against Darren, but Cannons would not lie down. Darren, cheered on by his team mates, fought back with some cracking squash to bring it back to 2-2 while Dave came out of the blocks quickest vs Ray and went 2-0 up. Just as it looked like the no 5s would need to decide the match, Ray woke up and worked out Dave's game and Paul similarly slowed the pace to take the 5th. Two narrow 3-2 wins for Bromley that could easily have been different. Just as well for Bromley, since an out-of-sorts Tim was then swept aside by a fine performance from Steve to give Cannons some consolation.
A shame most of the visitors could not stay to enjoy a fine curry which finished off a nice evening.
