Report: | Dartford are starting to move into their stride all a little too late but any lingering whispers about relegation have now been diminished after a convincing win against Bexley 3.
After a later start than usual (due to everyone watching chelsea - barca) 100% Bruce went on first at no.4 and kept up his supreme record this season with some nice controlled squash and picking his moments for the killer shots.
Joining him on first was my dad at No.3 who's form has picked up recently and he always looked in control even with some good running from Lee. An ill struck Andy who was playing at 5 proclaimed to me before the match that he'd much rather have a pint and then go home to bed which i didn't think was actually such a bad idea. I went on at the same time as Andy but he tells me his squash was of the highest calibre to claim the win!
I played Nanu at 2 and had to dig deep for the win as his excellent cut out shots and boasts had me running from pillar to post.
I caught captain Stu's game midway through and he was gettin frustrated with some marking calls as we all do at some point but his anger turned into motivation. A controlled performance echoed by some textbook squash and all round nippyness helped Stu along to a 3-2 win and maximum points for Dartford! Next up is cup week and we were all too busy laughing about Chelsea losing that i'm not sure who we've got! |
