| Report: | Parklangley 4s took on the mighty hill (oh o sorry that was 3 years ago). park langley took on the real biggin hill team on a very hot evening. first up Andy on court 4 v nick both players with 0 air with good rallies but andy finally wilting in the heat. On court 3 the no5s ,didnt see any of this one but by looking at the scores mike was not messing around and match 1-1.
Gerald and the famouse clarky went on for yet another sauna on court 4 and the old bloke was doing well at 1-1 then as the tempo increased by gerald all the wheels fell of and the beer was all stuart had in mind.
Meanwhile on court 3 boyzee v simon somehow boyzee came from behind to worry simon with such trickery paul daniels would have been proud but the fith was not to be and simon took it to level the match 2-2.
So for the final and deciding match the no1 trevor v stu 0-9 0-9 was the first two and stu was on fire trevor had to pull his socks up,with son adrian grant playing next door with such ease trevor had not got a point, the third game saw trevor working hard to get back in the game with a change of pace 1-2 and could have taken the fourth but stu held on to take the match 3-2.
Good to see some old faces and mates from bromley cricket on the other courts, all sealed with a show from the world no10 Adrian Grant. |
