............... no, only joking. There were a few. As the score suggests, the closest encounter was the last, between Mark and Gary. Mark stormed ahead as Gary seemed not to have woken up, but then produced a series of straight drops that Mark, who was not in top condition, just failed to reach. There was then almost an exact repeat before Gary pressed home to win in the 5th. Ron wobbled a little in the 1st game but then the result was never in doubt, as with Brian's and Nick's. Paul had a tough match and showed remarkable mobility to more than meet Mehmet's fitness in a match that could easily have gone the distance. All in all an encounter with high quality squash, especially for Div 5! |
