| Report: | On a hot evening, Richard and Mark kicked off, Mark having difficulty acclimatizing to the court and, more importantly, countering Richard's crisp, low drives. Then, as Mark found some length Richard made increasing numbers of unforced errors. Then these became fewer, the rallies evened but the match steadily shifted Mark's way. Malcolm found Kelvin on good form on the back court so it was 2-0 to BLTC. Peter and Keith have played more matches than either care to remember but despite being a little rusty Keith was sharp with the drop shots and Peter was caught out a good many times. I didn't see Ron's match but it was over in a flash, Ron being out-played for once. Finally, Paul and Antony had a good scrap with some long rallies and Paul was clearly grateful to finish in four games. A good breakfast followed - thanks to all. |
