| Report: | First off were JJ and Tim, a see-saw affair to start with but Tim's speed to the front of the court made the difference in the end. Ron and Jerry had a more interesting match than the score-line would suggest, but Ron's drive-and-drop accuracy and consistency were too much for Jerry, despite huge effort. Kevin and Chris had a match strewn with unforced errors but Kevin produced more unexpected shots that broke Chris' rhythm.
Gary too started to come back into the match with Mark but could not keep up the chase despite some imaginative retrievals.
The final match was the most engaging, Mark Flemming having won most of his matches against Bromley. However, Brian was moving well and Mark's drop shots could not be trusted to win the point. Brian, meanwhile, had less predictable boasts and drops.
So, a clean sweep for Bromley while Knole Park bit the dust. A great bunch to end to the season with. |
