Report

Report:The people's champions were shunted out to the OD courts and their fans that regularly flock to watch them play were unable to witness an absorbing evenings squash. Some very close games were played with three of the matches going to 5.

Kevin and Neil were first up and traded lucky shots throughout. Kevin was lucky to be 1-1 after being down in the first two although managed to find a bit in the third. Neil fought back in the fourth and again was up but unable to take the game to 5. PL 1 AH 0

Mike and Frazier were having an interesting battle next door with both players appearing to take it in turns to exert their supremacy on proceedings. Mike managed to get in first, winning the first, third and fifth to leave PL in a strong position. PL 2 AH 0

Trevor was battling away with Steve on the other court with some tight and accurate squash. Trading blows they reached 8-8 in the fifth, swinging one way and then the other Steve managed to play a couple of vital shots to win the game 10-9. PL2 AH1

Paul started well against Gerald, going into a 6-2 lead, his range of short and lob shots causing the Parklangley stalwart some trouble. Unable to get over the line in the first Gerald battled back well to take the first and continued into the second. Paul played well in the third but Gerald was always ahead to take the game and match. PL3 AH1.

The ones went on last. Adam and Ross trading some excellent winners and pick up. Ross managed to push on in the middle to the match to give him a lead. While Adam battled back well Ross had a little more left in the tank and crept over the line to win this one 3-2. PL3 AH2

An enjoyable evening in the bar over some good grub and Acacia Hall are welcome back anytime.

Cheers
