| Report: | The night duly arrived, two relics from a past era ready to do a challenged battle - as per normal excuses were offered prior to the start, Leon opened with two new hips, but Syd immediately counter-acted with an ingrowing toe-nail, the crowd immediately agreed Syd had won the first battle!
And so it commenced, it went one way - it went the other - there was sweat, swearing and a semblance of squash.
In the end Syd won it, the crowd dispersed, there was heard mutterings of the standard of play re age etc, but mainly it was 'thank f--k thats over'! Anyway who cares - to the victor the spoils ie another glass of wine - luvly!.
After that every else played - usual stuff etc. we won 5 - 0 (that will teach them to be more curteous with their comments).
Cracking night - great food - great company - plenty of p--s taking - magic. |
