Report: | Jon and Mark were first away and it was clear from the outset that Mark was going for every point, even when it was becoming clear that Jon was not up to his pace and movement.
Robin, playing in his first ever Priory match, found Hugh a handful, lifting the ball too much, giving Hugh the choice of shot. Often this meant a winning lob to the backhand.

Peter and Steve had all the makings of a close match but while Peter played inappropriate shots too often, Steve seemed to improve steadily with superior length, great drops and better movement.
So it was up to Rob and Kelvin to decide the outcome. Another see-saw match, Kelvin cruising in the 1st game but tripping up in the 2nd. Then Kelvin regained his rhythm and pushed himself harder to take the victory, for which this captain was very grateful.
