Report

Report: Kelvin and Aiden got moving first, or rather Aiden got Kelvin moving - all over the court. Much improved since I saw him play last season, Aiden was not lacking in any part of his game and controlled the match from start to finish. Kelvin appreciated that.
Mark seemed to be going the same way as Simon pushed him back then repeatedly attacked with a tight boast. Then Mark started picking up the boasts and drove Simon back before dropping, boasting or lobbing (very intelligently) until tiredness took its toll on Simon. Definitely Mark's finest victory in Priory yet.
Then there was Andrew! Rich is notorious for grinding his opponents down but for the first few long rallies Andrew was able to stay with him, spot an opening then drop quite effectively. Then tactics seemed to go out of the window (with thoughts perhaps of imminent games in Paris) so Andrew hacked away to his demise.
A 3rd team debut for Lee who got off to an impressive start against Chris. Then, according to witnesses, Chris raised his game and Lee ran out of weaponry.
Finally, Keith, a late substitute for Brian who had fought a glass door earlier in the day (and lost), worked hard to overcome Dave who made effective use of drops and boasts early in the match but finally ran out of steam.
A great evening's squash but Bromley must get out of the L2-3 mindset soon or confront relegation (oh sorry, we're Div 5). They could still sack the manager though...
