Report: | Despite the huge temptation to write a degrading and spurious match report in retaliation to the first half's effort from Mr McCaughan, I shall refrain from commentating on his 4th and 5th game capitulation!*
*ish
Matt's consistency was ultimately too much for Darren despite an impressive first game.
Again consistency was the key in the 3's, Neil mounting a late comeback but ultimately left himself too much to do.
The battle of the ex-teammates at 4 went Geoff's way, comfortably in the end. Even Andy's Team GB top not enough to inspire him to gold after managing to nick the first from 7-0 down.
Will was comfortable for the first two before getting a bit over anxious to finish it in the third. A level head in the 4th saw it through.
Still, being a point away from a 3-0 win has to hurt the "visiting" captain. But at least you didn't have to concede against a 15 yr old girl. ;-) |
