| Report: | For the first time this summer season PL3 were moved sideways to the old dunstonians courts away from the Langley heat into the fire.
First up Mickey V Jack, MIckey starting very strong hitting the ball hard not letting Jack get into his game 1-0 . Second game with a little help from Dad Jack got going working Mickey to all corners and levelling the match 1-1 .The heat now showing on both players saw Mickey pushing again to win the third but to what cost ? 2-1. The fourth could not have been closer with the old boy on his knees at 8-8 Mickey called one - shit or bust was the thought ! Hand out and Mickey took the last point and the match 3-1 .
On the other court Stu and Scott was having a marathon to see who would die first didn't see much as was marking but stu died first 3-1 Scott .
Next on Andy V Luke good game with some good rallies the second game Andy loosing his way but stepped on it after that to take the match 3-1.
Simon V Mr Peel. Simon not at the races this week and let Nick control the tempo and take a straight forward win 3-0 .
Last on old captain T shirt V Kevin OCT didn't let the team down and blitzed his man ,although I don't think Kevin was at full fitness 3-0
So a 3-2 win and some good points ,a quick dribble of a shower then sprint over to Langley for fish and chips .Many thanks to Cobdown for paying half our tab as we missed them in the first half .
Man of the match has to go too Marvelous Mickey Collins at 57 you know who he is !
