| Report: | In the captains absence, PL4 got things back on track after a couple of weeks of underfiring against strong opposition.
Great match between Tom and Nick - Tom put in a real shift as Nick used all his shots to put ball away.
Nilen's just about hitting a hot streak of form after an earlier dip in the season and seems to have routinely won this one, let's hope he continues all the way through to the end like this now!
Adam probably doesn't want to remember this one too long but Graham a good player will always grind away and found a way past this time.
The ever continual progress of young master Finch was clear tonight, always a bit too strong for Dan but the development of his game is phenomenal to watch from week to week.
Performance of the night though came from "marathon man" Toby, who hasn't picked up a racket in 6 weeks and completed the 104 mile Ride London cycle event on Sunday, only to turn up and win 3-0.
So a good win, albeit close match score, it's all about selection reliability now for PL4 if we're going to remount a serious challenge at the top of the league! |
