| Report: | Great night of squash played in a good spirit. Bexley Park needing a win to keep their promotion push on track and Old Elts playing for some pride after a difficult season. Bob v Dan, Bob played some clever squash against Dan by slowing the ball down and frustrating the hard hitting Dan 3-0 to Bob. Steve v Neil, these two know each others games inside out and the result could have gone either way but Neil served brilliantly throughout the match and kept on tempting Steve to go for too many winners on the return 3-2 to Neil. Pat v Mark, this match seemed to go on all night with both players not giving an inch, Pat had match point in the 5th but just couldn't finish of the hard running Mark. Mehmet v Dean, I didn't see much of this game as I seemed to be marking Pat & Mark for much of the evening but I did hear lots of shouting and cheering and a 3-1 win to Dean. Last game of the night Justyn v Tobyn, Justyn started off playing like a squash god and winning the first two before most of the spectators had got back from the bar Tobyn put up a strong come back before Justyn once again found his length and niks. Great food once again by Pat had many players taking home doggy bags. Old Elts have had a difficult season with injury's and sheer bad luck but our team sprit is something we should all be proud of and I couldn't think of a better group of mates to Captain. We wish Bexley Park all the best on their promotion push. |
