| Report: | A hot evening at Langley Towers welcomed Sundridge park to do battle with 4 jokers and a bearded one .
First up Ex Captain T shirt v Dave , Dave started well picking up all of CTS shots and continued through all 3 games to take the win against all the odds ,CTS not at the races tonight .
Superman v Rich ,Didn't see any of this as marking but the scores show superman was in control ,but as we know it's never easy against Rich 3/0 Dave .
On court 4 again Porky bearded plumber v Andy , Again didn't see this one as playing but the PBP made light work of Andy to take it in 3 both players looked like they had been in the sauna !
Andy B v Andy A, this was the longest match of the night AB taking the first ,only to fade away in the second and third , the fourth with some good coaching saw AA get to a 7/0 lead ,at this point the author thought its time for a shower only two points to go , but with a couple of different serves AB started the come back and somehow managed to get back level and sneak the fourth. Into the fith both Players now getting tired played some great rallies AB getting a lead with good serves again and managed to win the match , get out of jail card comes to mind .
Last up Simon v James , Simon not moving in the first but after this he got into his stride and took a comfortable win against james who has had some good results in the first half .
So a 4/1 win and some good points ham egg and chips went down well as did the peroni ! Team selection for next week a topic for the team afterwards and someone's head is a rolling ! |
