| Report: | A bruising encounter between two mid table teams ended with the visitors taking the spoils.
In the hot weather and with the ball bouncing around sharply, perhaps a little more care was needed to avoid injurious contact. However, extravagant swings, premature calls for lets, too much standing of ground after playing of one's shot and some indecisive marking produced the opposite effect. Some tempers were frayed, and some bodies were bruised.
The survivors retreated to The Anchor pub for much needed refreshment and solace.
We hope that Bexley can raise enough of the walking wounded in time for their remaining fixtures. |
