| Report: | A third successive home game in a row for Park Langley after last week's "rest week".
First on court were Rob and Matt. Rob came flying out of the blocks and was clearly in no mood to show any mercy. A relentless blitz of attack after attack, on and off court in next to no time and giving PL a 1-0 lead.
On the other court Nilen taking on Andy. Despite a long long long first game (16 handouts at 2-3/3-2), Andy appeared to take a while before he got warmed but at 2-0 down some exquisite lob serves caught Nil napping but he halted the come back and seized control to wrap it up in 4.
Tom and Tobyn took to court and Mr slow start did just that, going 1-0 down before easing into his stride and taking control over the next 3 games. PL 3-0 up.
Rich and Fraser were next up on the frost laden court 1. Polar opposite to the previous time these 2 met, which saw Fraser tormenting a tempestuous PL captain, this was played in good spirit. Perhaps an off day for Fraser but comfortable 3-0 for Rich.
On to the main event Paul vs Darren. Cyborg switch well and truly jammed into the on position, the level of retrieval on show went up a notch to "mind boggling insanity". Having successfully managed to break 2 rackets (1 frame, 1 string) in 2 successive rallies, Paul took Nilens racket and miraculously discovered a drop shot to go 2-1 up from 1 down. However, despite his best efforts, Darren managed to secure a comeback and earned the right to sit on his very own "winners table" in the bar afterwards.
