| Report: | A solid performance from Dulwich who welcomed back Tony Brown after a break abroad. Tony celebrated his return with a come from behind win ,which saw him make use of his deft touch and wrong footing ability. Wins also for myself at No4 and Steve Aherne ,who continued his winning streak. Steve opponant, young Master Hammond, was only 11yrs old. However, he put up a brave performance and stuck to his task.He looks as though he will be a very good player in the future.
Jon-Marc at No1 gave another game performance but struggled to find his lenth and was made to pay dearly for anything loose, by Mr Ray. However, Jon-Marc did keep fighting and that's all I can ask.
Game of the night was Mr Arabaji and Ed Davey at No2. This one went back and forth with some hard rallies and delightful touch play. Ed had two match points in the 4th but was unable to convert. He eventually lost in the 5th but no disgrace losing a game like that.
Bangers and Mash for dinner. Great!! Interesting mash, made with an assortment of beans (baked and kidney) and slightly curried. Darn!! I forgot to get the rescipe. Nice people too. We will make them just as welcome in the return. |
